Therapy That Sees All of You.

A Justice-Centred, Relational Approach to Therapy for Families

  • What does it mean to build a family rooted in connection, trust, respect, and care?

  • How do we create safety, connection, and belonging within our family?

  • How do we understand and change patterns of communication and conflict that keep repeating?

  • How do we make space for each person's needs, experiences, and voice?

  • How do we repair relationships after hurt, conflict, or experiences of betrayal?

  • How do we navigate differences in values, expectations, identities, and ways of seeing the world?

  • How do we honour cultural and family traditions while making space for change across generations?

  • How do our own histories shape the ways we relate to one another?

  • How do we balance connection and belonging with autonomy and the freedom to be ourselves?

  • How do we create new ways of relating when old family patterns no longer serve us?

These are questions (and more!) we may explore together, in therapy.

What Might Bring You to Therapy?

There are many reasons why families seek therapy. Sometimes family histories, cultural expectations, changing roles, and difficult experiences can leave family members feeling disconnected or unsure how to move forward together. You may be seeking support to communicate more openly, strengthen connection, or better understand one another.

Some of the people I work with express experiencing:

  • Intergenerational differences in cultural values, identity, and expectations

  • Tension between cultural or family expectations and individual identity or values

  • Cross-cultural or intercultural family tensions

  • Family conflict or rejection related to gender identity or sexual orientation

  • Recurring conflict, tension, or arguments within the family

  • Difficulty communicating or feeling heard and understood

  • Feeling disconnected from one another

  • The impact of trauma or difficult past experiences on family relationships

  • Differences in parenting values, expectations, or approaches

  • Grief, loss, illness, or significant life transitions affecting the family

  • Parent–child conflict or strained relationships

  • Challenges navigating adolescence, emerging adulthood, or changing family roles

  • Difficulties repairing relationships after conflict, hurt, or estrangement

  • Concerns related to power, control, or unequal responsibility within the family

  • A desire to strengthen connection and communication
