Carla is an engaging public speaker, drawing on her intercultural, mixed-race heritage, her extensive experience of living and travelling throughout the Caribbean & Canada, and her deeply personal experiences of cultivating resilience after loss and challenge.

Carla speaks passionately about racial and cultural equality, and about developing empowerment in both women and youth.

Carla’s classes and talks highlight the importance of understanding and developing inclusivity, and offer thought-provoking ideas on reclaiming identity and building resilience, after overcoming change, hardship, grief, trauma, and tragedy.
